tall ships

all the elderly folks who crowded the train and forced me to sit on the floor >:\

Hubs + I went to Waterford for a couple days to hit up the Tall Ships festival and see our friends play a couple concerts. I sat outside, drank cider, listened to bands, and enjoyed the glorious summertime sun! Oh and I saw fireworks on the water one night. Happy early bee day, America!
this one was rather tall

people dressed as sailors or pirates. all the shop knew what was up.

La Gloria, from Colombia. the waterford girls were going nuts over those sailors!

trekking

Ahr wine country

Notice the giant mountain behind this house. We hiked that mountain all day long. It's called the Red Wine Trail. You hike through the vineyards and take breaks to drink sparkling grape juice! This is my kind of hiking, folks: tiring but gorgeous. Also, I got a cool sunglasses tan.

nederlands

velvety

We took a quick day-trip into the Netherlands. We hung out in Valkenburg which is home to the awesome slash creepy Velvet Cave. During the tour they turned out all the lights and told us how two little boys snuck into the cave alone and died of fear in the dark. Seriously creepy. Also, the tour guide made me believe that Dutch people sound like the Swedish Chef from the Muppets. Flur flee flur flee flur! Enjoy some pictures from inside the underground cave!

i dont remember what this picture is of.

soldiers during WWII hid here + carved their names. here is a guy from Van Nuys, CA.
