dublin fun

It's been awhile since I shared new Irish vocab with you folks. Don't think it will run out anytime soon...there are important linguistic gems around every corner:

street vocab
"grass up" = rat out
"yoke" = ecstasy pill or thingy, as in that yoke over there
"gaf" = house/pad, as in meet me back at my gaf
"shift" = kiss, as in did you shift anyone last night?

shopping vocab
"vest" = tank top
"glad" = gladiator sandal
"pump" = ballet flat NOT a high heel

bank vocab
"BIC" = SWIFT number
"IBAN" = account number
"sort code" = routing number
"standing order" = direct deposit
