sea dogs

Beshoffs fresh-caught seafood market

Part of our day in Howth was spent admiring the sea creatures--dead and living! First we contemplated buying a fresh lobster to take home with us but the thought of it trying to claw its way free during the train ride was too much. Next, we took pictures of people feeding the seals in the harbor. They looked like giant, shiny puppy dogs floating around in the water and catching fish in their mouths. My favorite seal was the one that kept motorboating in the water, making snuffly noises through his nose!
